With this volume, dedicated to traditional songs of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Feniarco continues the journey to rediscovery the roots of the "popular culture" started with the series Voci & Tradizione; a path that runs through the streets of oral tradition singing from Italian regions, each of them has a priceless heritage, with its own stylistic, linguistic, formal and musical figures; a path that goes between tradition and innovation, or in the sign of recovery, through the collection and study of the sources, of a musical body that expresses the deep identity of the territory, reinterpreted through the particularities of contemporary musical language.
In this perspective, Voci & Tradizione confirms its dual role of collecting songs for various types of choirs and useful tool of ethno-musicological study, thanks to accurate pages that accompany the choral elaborations illustrating the sources and characteristics of the original pieces.
